I can’t tell you how EXCITED I am that Sophie’s quilt is finished! I even washed it to get it all soft and crinkly. I am so happy with the way it came out so I decided to whip up a little pillow to go with it! So here it is, my first QUILTED and BOUND quilt!!!! And let me tell you, I’m hooked. I’ll never go back to hand tying a quilt again.
It was a perfect day to finish this quilt too because I FINALLY got to meet the little sweetie who will be receiving this gift. She is a little doll, PERFECT little features, sweet little personality. She and her gorgeous sister (who I’m blessed to be godmother to) made my day. I just love those girls to pieces. Unfortunately I don’t see them enough due to hectic schedules and a winter filled with germs. I’m looking forward to this New England weather improving so we can go for walks, and go to the park!
So what’s next on the sewing agenda? I think maybe I need to finish a couple WIPs. I have a turning twenty quilt I started months ago for my boys and also an improv beach blanket that I’m also making for them. Then there’s Amy Butler’s Birdie Sling and a patchwork belt I’d like to get done before the warm weather graces us. Oh and of course I have all the fabric I need to do my kitchen curtains… I think I’m going to be busy!
Anyhoo. The temp’s supposed to get up to 50 F tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to picking up Jack’s new bike that’s waiting for us, and getting outside for some fresh air. Is it May yet?!
